Let's make traffic safe – together for children
In every corner of our homes there is daycare centers, preschools and schools, where children begin their first independent journeys in transport. Every year, almost 300 children steps onto the school road or through the kindergarten gate – often for the first time without an adult by their side.
Traffic becomes a part of their everyday life – and unfortunately also a risk: up to 40% of children's traffic accidents occur in familiar surroundings, near home or school. That is why road safety is not just additional education – it is vital for everyday safety.
Every child deserves the right to learn safely
Unfortunately, many daycare centers and schools do not have the resources or budget to purchase guides, reflectors, or other traffic safety materials.
We at Lasten Apu ry believe that No child should be left without the opportunity to learn safe traffic behavior.That's why we're running this campaign together. with you – whether you are an individual, a parent, a local business or a community.
How can you get involved?
You can order bilingual Traffic Skills magazines, Traffic Skills guides, soft reflectors or reflective vests – either for yourself or to be sent directly to the daycare, preschool or school of your choice.
You can also order the guides for yourself and deliver them personally to your child's kindergarten – educators and teachers take the material with joy and gratitude.
All materials are supplied directly from our printing house in Kuopio, transported by Matkahuolto, directly to the recipient - with tracking and reliability.
Campaign results – over 30 guides and thousands of reflectors
From 2022 onwards we have already delivered the material to hundreds of daycare centers across Finland.
In 2022–2025, the following has been distributed: over 30 guides for children – each of them at the request of the kindergarten or school.
From 2024 onwards we have also delivered reflectors and reflective vests according to growing need – and there has been a constant demand for these.
