Traffic skills magazine

A practical, fun and bilingual worksheet for children

Children's Traffic Skills Magazine is designed to support children's traffic education in early childhood education, primary education and at home. The magazine is published four times a year and each number has 10 seasonally appropriate, illustrative tasks, which help children learn safe movement in a diverse and meaningful way.

Learning through play – safety skills at a child's level

The magazine offers an easy, inspiring and effective way to teach traffic safety in different situations. Through the tasks, the child learns:

How to proceed pedestrian safely on the street and at pedestrian crossings

What is good to remember? while cycling or when moving on a scooter/skateboard

How to recognize road signs and understand basic traffic rules

What does it mean? Caution, foresight and consideration for others in traffic

All tasks are illustrated and designed with children in mind – learning happens through play, coloring, discovery, and short stories.

Versatile support for early childhood educators and caregivers

The magazine is not just for children – each issue also includes important and current information for early childhood education staff and parents. In this way, traffic safety does not remain just a learning topic, but becomes a common topic of conversation and learning experience between child and adult.

Daycare centers and schools can utilize the magazine as part of:

weekly plans or traffic-related theme days

everyday conversation moments and drama scenes

parents' evenings and cooperation with guardians

Continuity and development – 40 tasks per year

When the magazine comes out regularly four times a year, it creates continuous teaching structure, where the child can deepen their understanding throughout the year:

Spring – First steps towards safe mobility and the start of the cycling season
Kesa – In traffic on vacation, outdoor games and trips
Autumn – School road safety, visibility at dusk
Winter – Driving on slippery surfaces, the importance of reflectors and caution in winter conditions

In total During the year, you will learn through 40 tasks – each of them supports the child's traffic safety skills and brings added value to both teaching and everyday interaction.
